The beginning of construction of Delijan Cement factory was officially started in March-April 2006 and for 39 months on June 06 2008 at the presence of ex-Industries and Mines Secretary of that cabinet was used and from the beginning. The annual nominal capacity of the factory is equal to One million Ton Cement.

The Perlite Institute was founded in 1949, a year in which it is estimated only 80,000 tons of perlite ore was mined throughout the world. The unusual properties and advantages of this virtually new material had been known for some time, yet recognition and acceptance was impeded due to a lack of reliable technical data, uniform commercial standards and sufficient public information.

With remarkable deposits, Mehdiabad Lead and Zinc and Barite Mining Complex is one of the biggest world mines, considered to be a Big Mine based on the laws of mines, with its operation license belonging to IMIDRO. Therefore, according to plans made officially, construction of processing plants for zinc concentrate with side products (including lead and silver concentrate) as well as equipping and waste removal of the Mine are the priorities. Currently, extraction and sales of products (Zinc Oxide, Calamine and Barite) are being performed while the above are being run.
